I left some information for you to peruse at your leisure. Our cancer treatment center, the Hampton University Proton Therapy Institute has been in operation for a year now. Among the patients we have treated this past year, many of them have had to travel here to get treatment. Our out of town patients have to make arrangements to stay somewhere for the duration of their treatment, anywhere from 5 to 10 weeks. Living in a hotel or even renting a house for that time period can result in a high cost to our patients, a cost that is hard to cover for most. In order to raise monies to help our patients with costs affiliated with their treatment, we are having a fundraising gala, the Gala of Hope, on October 1, 2011. We will be having a silent auction during the gala, and to be quite frank, are in desperate need of silent auction items. Our goal is to have some very nice pieces at our action that will wow our guests. That’s where sisters unique comes in! Would you please let me know if you would be willing to donate to our cause…you would be much appreciated!
