Dreaming in Painted Brick

I have always loved Painted Brick and ever since Pinterest made it's big debut, I have gathered inspiration of some of my favorites.  I live in a 1970's brick rancher.  I love an old house and I love old neighborhoods and Silverwood is certainly become a great place to raise our family... but, the brick... has always bugged me.  9 years later with the help of the ladies at Sisters Unique  I finally did something about it.

Here is a little on how it all started...

I love the neutral accents, the round boxwoods the simplicity of the colors and the brick! Image from Bungalow Classic.

This image from Pinterest has been another favorite of mine. Originally posted on YourNestDesign.com

The colors in this home are once again a favorite!  The boxwoods in the planters, the black door and the trim.  Although this house is not painted brick the colors are perfection!

Things that Inspire has one of my favorite Blog Posts on Painted Brick and I love this home by J. Ryan Duffey Architect in Atlanta.

Here is the inspiration we used for the front door and the wooden planters.  Although I must say I was tempted to paint my door red.  Who doesn't love a white home with a red door?  So classic!
