A perfect sunny day, a can of Old White Chalk Paint® by Annie Sloan, and a good friend...
First, we had to figure out our formulation and technique so we started with the back of the house.
The brick above is 1 1/3 cup of Old White Chalk Paint® to 2/3 cup water. The bricks were sprayed with water prior to applying the paint. We made sure to really cover the gray grout with paint. We did not add or do anything to the brick after the brick was painted.
The bricks above show 50/50 of Chalk Paint® to Water. We decided to go a little heavier for the look I wanted.
One painted brick quickly became an entire wall... I couldn't believe how easy and quickly it was going.
I had no idea how much fun this project was going to be and or how quickly it would go. Other than a little sweat painting the brick was an easy job. We had the neighborhood kids even pitch in and help!
