Painted Brick House: We finished!

The door was painted with Chalk Paint® by Annie Sloan in Graphite.  All of the gutters on the home were painted with Old White, Chalk Paint® by Annie Sloan (diluted the same as the house).  The wooden planters are from Sisters Unique.

The garage door and trim on the house was painted Glass of Milk by Martha Stewart.  Garage door hardware was from Home Depot.

The sidewalk and driveway was done by Yorktown Materials.  Images are by Art Louis.

Stay tuned to see the inside of the house...

I just was doing a search on the chalk paint for exterior ideas. This looks amazing and I wanted to thank you for the post. I’m currently looking at some older houses that need work and I cannot believe how lovely this looks. I just found one that’s really cute but all the gutters and trim is that ugly dark brown. Do you think it bonded well to the gutters themselves over time?

Thank you for your kind words! To answer your question, nothing was done over the bricks. Annie Sloan Chalk Paint is for interior and exterior use. It will weather, but it will weather beautifully. If it’s something that’s going to get heavily used like an outdoor table top and you’re concerned about it, we do have an exterior sealer that works great with the paint called Artisan Enhancement Clear Topcoat Sealer. Feel free to call us or come visit if you have any questions! Store# 757-595-9355

I love your house make over! But was wondering if you had to seal the paint on the bricks? And if not what keeps the paint from not washing away from the rain? I am painting outdoor furniture with the Annie Sloan should I seal it? And if so with what?
Thanks, for posting! Truly a gorgeous make over.
